This is lessons of life 1
I tried to keep lesson 2 on the pragmatic side of life

I feared being alone
Until I discovered porn.

I feared failure
Until I realized that if I don’t try I don’t fail .

I feared people's opinions
Until I learned that People don’t think anyway.

I feared rejection
Until none left to reject me.
** *
I feared pain
Until I learned to enjoy it.
** *
I feared the truth
Until I learnt that I can’t tell it from lie anyway.
** *
I feared my destiny,
Until I realized that I have no future.
** *
I feared love
Until I realized it was just an illusion
** *
I feared ridicule
Until I learned that I was really ridiculous.
** *
I feared death
Until I realized that life was not much better

Woah dude, not such a happy place huh?
I'd agree with almost all of those at some point, at least 75% of them most of the time (right now especially in fact) but still, little bit morose man; hope that's not how it is all the time!

actually, i feel it to be the opposite. It's the place of total content, a place with no failure, where nothing ever goes wrong.

I was just referring to some advice I was offered earlier this week.
I was told (I'm paraphrasing here) not to keep trying, because that way I wouldn't keep failing.
Didn't seem like such good advice to me.

it is good, if you feel happy with not trying. It is against everything we are brought up with, so it's not easy to take on

Mostly I think I don't try enough.
I wondered, if I kept trying, whether eventually I would find I didn't care so much about failure.
It's worth a try.

But there's always a first time...
No, actually, I said that, but realistically it's quite possible that there would never be a first time.
On the other hand, there might.
So I keep trying.

I can think of other things I'd rather write about.
As I don't anticipate any revenue from any of my writing, might as well stick to what I enjoy.
