by ranfuchs @ 05/07/2008 - 10:31:38

If you fail to fail, are you a failure or a success?

Depends what you were aiming to achieve.

Nothing.
Absolutly nothing
It's been years since I have tried to achieve anything.

Then how can you judge whether you have failed or succeeded?
If there is no intention behind your efforts, there can be no scale against which to measure the results.

why do you want to judge? As long as I enjoy the game. It's like playing amature sports, swimming for instance. You swim, you measure time, you try to get better, but it really doesn't matter if you improve your time, as long as you enjoy the swimming. If you don't, chose another sport.

Drawing for me is just the same. I am horrible at it, and I love doing it. Some things I am not too horrible at, but it does not stop me from enjoying it

I don't particularly want to judge.
But you asked the original question about failure and success.
And it's not possible to answer your question without making a judgment.
So, why do you want to judge?

Can't say I recognise the expression 'hend' -
*thinks*
:??:
Nope, you've lost me on that one.

But 'jet lead' might be appropriate - analogous with lags & leads in stats and economics

The hend is an instrumental part of GRS responsible for registration of epithermal and fast neutrons originating in the subsurface of Mars...

So that's where you keep disappearing off to Ranfuchs !

Got a tan ?

Actually, you made a very good point. I was enjoying what I was doing, and took a risk that could have made it either better or worse. As it happened, it brought it to an end, so I was angry with myself for taking the risk, but I'm over it now.

if you fail to fail, then you are either a success or you haven't tried to do anything, which is a bit of a waste of our opportunities don't you think?

ranfuchsranfuchs [Member]
05/07/08 @ 11:28

actually I never think. I just ask questions
